  • Description:

The Bar Examination is the most important phase in the long and hard struggle of a law student to attain membership in the legal profession. It is the culmination of a long course on legal education, starting from a four-year high school course in an authorized and recognized school, college or university, followed by a four-year pre-law course consisting of a bachelor’s degree in arts or sciences, with major in Political Science, Logic, English, Spanish, History, or Economics and winding up with a four-year bachelor’s degree in law with completed course in Civil Law, Commercial Law, Remedial Law, Criminal Law, Political and International Law, Labor Law, Taxation, Legal Ethics and other subjects prescribed by the Supreme Court.
The basic legal education obtained by a law graduate in his law proper will play a vital role in his preparation to take the bar examination. However, a bar candidate’s five-month preparation during the interregnum also plays an important part in the bar candidate’s overall preparation to take the bar examination.
In sum, this reviewer honestly believes that the 2013 bar examination will be fair and acceptable to bar examinees as this will serve as a litmus test to determine their capability to pass the 2013 bar examination.
