Joni Cham

Biography

Joni Cham worked as a China analyst for over four years. Prior to that, she taught Literature at Far Eastern University and De La Salle University, where she completed her AB-Literature and MFA-Creative Writing degrees. Joni’s interest in different cultures and languages led her to travel to parts of Southeast Asia and China. She is relearning Mandarin and has ambitions of one day being able to converse in Bahasa Indonesia, perhaps after she has improved her Spanish. In My Mother’s House is her debut novel.
